Jessica Lindsay

Jessica Lindsay trained and performed ballet, modern, and jazz dance with the Nashville Ballet for six years until she came across a new kind of performance that sparked a flame within her. She was very intrigued, and soon became addicted to this thrilling and beautiful art of aerial dance. Jessica Lindsay has been fortunate to train under many talented and respected acrobats such as world-class aerialist's, Eric Newton (Cirque du Soleil - "Quidam"), Sagiv Ben Binyamin (Universal Studio's - "Spiderman Rocks", Cirque de la Mer), and international gymnast, Stella Umeh (Cirque du Soleil - "Mystere", "Varekai").

After much dedication and training, Jessica Lindsay had a vision of creating an avant-garde aerial company that would push the boundaries of entertainment. In 2005, this vision became a reality known as the Aerial Showgirls. They opened their first company performance on Halloween of 2005 in Orange County at the Galaxy Concert Theatre. Since then, Jessica and the Aerial Showgirls have had the pleasure of performing at some of the most popular clubs, venues, and events around the country.

Jessica wanted to share her aerial knowledge with others. So in early 2006, she opened the Aerial Classroom in Orange County, where she currently still teaches classes.  Recently, Jessica was invited to take over the aerial program at LA Gymnastics in Culver City, CA as the head aerial coach.  She's even had the pleasure of training superstar Carmen Electra on aerial hoop. In April of 2006, and March of 2007, Jessica was invited to choreograph and perform aerials with Electra and the burlesque group of dancers, the Bombshell Babies, in Palm Springs. Jessica's favorite quote is, "Give me somewhere to stand, and I will move the earth." Although, it might need to be revised to, "Give me somewhere to fly..."

Cheri Geist

Ever since a young age, Cheri longed to explore the uncharted territory of the air.  With incredible determination and stamina, she began soaring high as a gymnast at the early age of seven.  With enhanced strength, balance, and coordination, Cheri continued to defy gravity by joining a competitive high school cheerleading squad; her dedication was rewarded upon winning the California State Championship, and becoming a nationally ranked cheerleader.  For the next two years, she altered her training by enduring the intense mental and physical challenges of Krav Maga, an effective and dynamic form of Israeli combat.

In 2005, Cheri wrapped herself in the gentle folds of aerial tissu.  She quickly grew passionate about this new art form as it allowed her to integrate graceful movement, flexibility, and strength, while adding layers of style and personality.  She trained on several different apparatuses, each with a different element of challenge and an infinite possibility of tricks:  aerial tissu, hammock, spanish web, swing, static trapeze, and aerial hoop.  In 2006, Cheri teamed up with Jessica Lindsay to become a part of the Aerial Showgirls; the combination of talents proved harmonious to audiences all across the US.  She challenges you to share her ultimate passion: the art of graceful flight.

Elizabeth Silverman

Elizabeth has been interested in running away to join the circus ever since she was a child. Aerial Acrobatics is her way of fulfilling that dream.
Whether it's in an airplane, a tree, or sitting on a tall friend's shoulders, she always loves to be up high in the air. Imagine her delight in discovering Spanish web, Aerial Lyra, Stationary and Flying Trapeze, Aerial Tissue and Stilts! When it comes to soaring through the air, she can't wait to see what else is out there waiting to be explored.

Her current favorite is the Spanish web for its fun spinning dynamic. She also loves the added element of thrill that performing a doubles, triples, or quadruples routine can have.
Elizabeth's natural creativity and readiness to try anything comes in handy when choreographing routines and coming up with surprising new moves.

She has trained extensively at The Aerial Classroom under the tutelage of Jessica Lindsay, and has always been active with a background in; gymnastics, ballet, theater, and various sports including horseback riding, swimming and ice hockey. She is ecstatic to have been asked to be part of the Aerial Showgirls, a dream of hers since starting lessons.

When she isn't performing, she enjoys teaching gymnastics to children, and doing special effects makeup for movies, for which she has earned two certificates after graduating from the Joe Blasco Makeup Center in Hollywood. She is also busy learning to unicycle!
Elizabeth is glad to finally find a calling that allows her to utilize the strengths of all of her artistic skills at once.

Sasha Harrington

Sasha trained as a gymnast with the Southern California Acrobatics Team for fourteen years, competing at state, regional, and national levels. She has been coached by Olympians Michelle Dusserre, Oleg Ivanov, and Trent Spaulding. Along with her gymnastics background, Sasha has been classically trained in ballet and modern dance by Julliard dance instructor, Melissa Moyer. After ending her career as a gymnast, she continued to pursue dance by working as a coach and choreographer.

When Sasha began studying philosophy at Mt. San Antonio College, she also became skilled at yoga and rock climbing. She then shifted her focus from coaching gymnastics to become a personal trainer. All of these endeavors kept her in the physical condition necessary to prepare her for her true ambition, aerial arts.

Always searching for ways to keep gymnastics in her life, Sasha discovered aerial arts and immediately became attached to it. She began working with Danny Castle of the American Acrobats learning duo and trio balancing acts as well as sphere acrobatics. Her aerial fabric and hoop training began at The Aerial Classroom. She has also been trained in the art of stilt walking by Jessica Lindsay and Cheri Geist of the Aerial Showgirls.

After months of an intense training regiment, Sasha became a part of the Aerial Showgirls. Working on aerial fabric, hoop, and stilt walking, she has performed all over Orange County and Los Angeles. Through aerial arts, Sasha has found a way to combine her love for gymnastics, dance, and performing in a creative and challenging forum.
